Hear His Voice (Heb 3:7–19)

This is another “warning passage” in Hebrews (see 2:1–4). On the heels of talking about the faithfulness of Jesus and Moses, our author warns about the dangers of unbelief. He has just exhorted his audience to “hold fast” (v 6). Our ability to hold fast is not dependent on how good God is but on our faithful obedience.
MAIN POINT: Ignoring God’s voice leads to doubt in God’s promises leads to rebellion against God’s will.
