Arrested Development (Heb 5:11–6:3)

A Study of Hebrews: Lesson 14

The Hebrews author wanted to move forward to a discussion about Jesus as our high priest (5:10), but he was frustrated that he could not because some in his audience had become spiritually lazy. Their laziness was about to cost them their salvation. This passage reminds us that the most dangerous threat we face is a lack of personal spiritual growth.
