It Is Finished (Heb 10:11–18)

A Study of Hebrews: Lesson 26

At long last, our author summarizes the primary claim of Hebrews. He observes again how the priests of the old covenant, even as our author was speaking, were standing and offering “the same sacrifices” as their predecessors had done. They could not sit (Deut 10:8; 17:12; 18:7); their job was never done because those same sacrifices could not remit sin.

Jesus, however, did so with one offering.
